Sponsored by Steamatic on a 482 Temporary Skills Shortage Visa from the Philippines in 2019 as a specialist Electronics Technician, Rosalio’s journey has been one of continuous growth and accomplishment. Throughout his tenure, Rosalio has been a testament to our HERO values.
Commencing at our Melbourne branch, Rosalio quickly showcased his skills and potential and was offered the opportunity to relocate to Sydney to support major electronics restoration projects in NSW. Embracing the opportunity, Rosalio not only took on primary responsibility for Electronics, but also trained and developed as a Restoration Technician in the field, achieving multiple IICRC certifications, as well as ticketed skills and licenses along the way. A highly diversified all-rounder with specialist electronics skills, Rosalio was promoted to Supervisor in November 2023 and assumed responsibility for the Electronics department, where he continued to refine and improve processes, delivering on our customer commitments and service requirements.
In January 2025, due to his performance and dedication to mentoring and supporting others, Rosalio was promoted to Team Leader, with accountability for a dedicated team of technicians.
A Passion for Precision and Sustainability
Rosalio’s work exemplifies the meticulous attention to detail required in electronics restoration. He seamlessly juggles many significant projects at any given time, always with a smile and good humour.
Rosalio applies innovative thinking to deliver sustainable solutions to unusual problems, placing significant importance on environmental impact. By repairing and restoring a range of components for parts and future use, he significantly reduces unnecessary waste and landfill, contributing to our sustainability commitment. This is a great example of his social mindset.
While most items are brought to Steamatic’s technical labs for restoration, Rosalio’s team also mobilises to perform on-site work for more complex requirements, including large industrial equipment and machinery.
Looking Ahead: A Vision for Growth and Residency
With a recent promotion and renewed visa, Rosalio remains dedicated to personal growth and team success. Steamatic proudly continues to support Rosalio with a commitment to achieving permanent residency (PR) within the next 12 months.
Rosalio is deeply grateful to Steamatic for the opportunities to live and work in Australia, develop expertise within his specialisation, and expand his skills beyond electronics. He describes himself as "multi-talented" due to his diverse experiences and is excited about what the future holds.
Steamatic is proud to share Rosalio’s journey in celebration of his invaluable contributions. He is a perfect example of Steamatic’s commitment to delivering “Careers, Not Jobs” and always promoting from within.
