When a sudden influx of water entered a residential property in Caroline Springs, Victoria the situation quickly escalated beyond simple water damage. Steamatic’s expert team was called in to provide professional water damage restoration and mould remediation, ensuring the family could return to a safe, healthy home as quickly as possible.

The Challenge

Water from the street had inundated the property, causing extensive damage throughout the home. Secondary mould growth had developed across multiple areas, creating a serious health risk.

The family had to vacate the home for the works to be completed.

Key items, including wet areas and the stone kitchen benchtops, needed to be preserved while addressing widespread damage.

Our Solution

Speed and precision were critical. Our team:

  • Deployed drying equipment and air filtration devices (AFDs) immediately to stop further water and mould damage.

  • Once the home was stabilised, we carried out a full strip-out and remediation, removing walls to 300mm high to target affected areas.

  • Used specialised ice blasting technology to safely and efficiently remove mould, saving time while ensuring complete mould remediation.

  • Finished with a Condition 2 clean to eliminate residual mould spores, restoring the home to a safe and healthy condition.

The Outcome

Through a coordinated approach and advanced techniques, Steamatic successfully restored the property to a liveable condition in record time.

Crucial surfaces were preserved, all mould was removed, and the family could confidently return home.

This project demonstrates Steamatic’s expertise in delivering reliable water damage restoration and thorough mould remediation, even in complex residential flooding situations.
