In October 2022, Rochester, located approximately 180 kilometres north of Melbourne faced an unprecedented challenge when the Campaspe River broke its banks, causing extensive flooding and leaving over 500 properties in distress.
Despite the logistical hurdles posed by limited access to the flooded area, Steamatic, in close collaboration with insurance companies, dedicated their efforts to the crucial restoration task. Within the year, all allocated restoration was successfully completed, marking a pivotal moment in our collective commitment to revive this historically rich town for its residents and secure a brighter future for the entire community.

From comprehensive contents disposal to full house packouts, where we meticulously cleaned and restored the contents of entire homes, to building strip-outs, flood washes, structural drying, dry ice blasting, and preparation for the final Post Remediation Verification (PRV) by hygienists. Each action underscored our commitment to excellence. Every measure was taken with diligence and in close collaboration with our insurance partners.
With over 500 properties restored to their pre-disaster condition within the year, homeowners could confidently return and embark on the journey of rebuilding their lives. Although not as severe, the recent floods have once again impacted the local community of Rochester, we stand strong, returning to ensure Rochester is revived once again.
