The building is located on one of the busiest thoroughfares for both pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This along with other considerations meant that extensive planning was required before performing restoration. To gain access to the two-storey building, a 24m boom lift was required. Steamatic engaged traffic management as the boom lift required one lane of the busy road to be blocked, eight car parks, as well as pedestrian walkway access. A council permit was also required, and strict time limitations were in place. Steamatic’s services could only be performed between the hours of 9.30am to 3.00pm. Steamatic successfully implemented the project and was able to restore the charm and character of the building with minimal interruption to the general public.
